My boyfriend's hands shiver alot....?

he says this is a heridity thing since his dad's hands too shiver alot....my bf has been smoking quite alot ,and he now is complaining of high blood pressure.....is there any cure to this...can you suggest some tips so that this problem is under control...he has decided to quit smoking, anything else you guys can suggest.....SERIOUS ANSWERS PLZ!
Answer:
Well if he sais that it's heridity thing as his father had it too, then I think i know what he's talking about. He has movement disorder called Essential Tremors (essential - geneticly transfered).
Although essential tremor can affect almost any part of the body, trembling occurs most often in hands, especially when trying to do simple tasks such as drinking a glass of water, tying a shoelaces, writing or shaving. Sometimes, one may also have trembling of the head, voice or arms.
It can occure at any age. It is triggered by stress, as well as any emotional situation (good/bad) that causes adrenalin rush.
It is something that lasts for a life time and progression is individual. One can only make the symptoms less visible by doing certain things. Definitly don't let him take meds on his own...as he can make it even worse. Take him to the doctor (if he hasn't been there already), to make a diagnoses and find a best way to treat it and cope with it. He will need your support too! It is hard to deal with a problem that it's not possible to hide, infact trying to stop the shaking makes the shaking even worse. He probably has problems with emberassing himself in some social situation. That's when he will need you there, to say that it will be alright, that you don't notice it, that you love him for who he is...And of course help him in some situations (paying bills, things that require fine motor skills etc.) so he doesn't feel frustrated.Tell him to avoid caffein coz it makes the shaking worse.Well, this is all i can say now from little that you explained about his tremors but i think i'm right. If you need someone to talk to or ask anything esle feel free to write me on my mail:
lina_girl06@yahoo.comIf you comfirme that I was right, write to me and I can give you some sites/forums to find out more about Essential Tremors. All the best!
He needs to go to the doctor. He may be having adverse side effects from some medication he is taking, or have a seizure disorder, or have high/low blood sugar, and on and on.
In some people it is lifetime problem, they feel it normal throughout their life with no problem, they are actually, intelligent ones.

My boyfriend takes supplements when he works out, are they affecting him?

my boyfriend takes micronized kreatine and nox-plode. can taking these supplements affect his behavior or any physical "attributes"? is it dangerous? should i convince him to stop?
Answer:
yes, they can make physical distortions and cause something to the brain if taken in access from what i have read
The kreatine is just an amino acid. It alone should not alter his personality or harm him as your body produces these in small quanities. The other nox-plode I am not to sure about. You might try talking to someone in a health food store. They can tell you exactly what it is and how it works.

My boyfriend is 20 and has high widows peaks can this be fixed?

Answer:
no this is a genitic trait
Well he can get bangs to cover them up or grow his bangs and part it to the side or the middle. Another option is to wax but they do grow back so it might be a hassle. Shaving the whole head is probably not a good idea because it emphasizes the widow鈥檚 peak if it is too high. Hope this helps =D
he could try permanent removal.
hes going bald, get some monoxidil and hope, its really not for frontal hair loss.
Get him to see a doctor and try some finasteride (Propecia or Proscar). It's most effective on the crown and mid-frontal areas, but has been proven somewhat effective for the frontal area, also. However, recession at the temples cannot be avoided without a hair transplant.

My boyfriend has a weak bladder...ummmm....?

i dont keep an eye on him 24/7.do you think he just needs to drink less during the day?
Answer:
Does he go wee wee wee, all the way home?
Maybe he should see a doctor if it's really bad.
Its possible hes drinking to much caffeine or alcohol both will cause excessive trips to the bathroom.
OMG - he's gunna be pissed when he reads this! Get it, pissed - ha ha ha ha
How Sweet of you to embarrass him so.....but other than that perhaps he should see a Dr about this. Drinking less will not fix a problem with his bladder only dehydrate him.
lol when it said tony 21 i figured..he could have overactive bladder, he should go c his doctor, they prescribe medication then he doesnt have to go as much :)
You share this email with him and you post a question like this to embarrass him? You are kind of mean...aren't you?Well, I have problem with bladder as well. It's because I had many surgeries and nurses has been putting these tubes to my bladder while these surgeries. I've done it many times and it screwed up a little then I have bladder problem. I can't control or hold it as much as I want to.Maybe he had surgery like that and you just don't know it? I don't think not drinking anything will do a thing since I tried it. It'll just dehydrate him and end up not feeling good.
Frequent urination can be anything from an enlarged prostate to diabetes. He should get checked out by a doctor just to rule out anything serious and to start teatment if it is.
Time for him to go to a urologist
Depends on what you think is a weak bladder. If he downs big gulps then probably not a weak bladder. There are real medical problems that the only symptoms is frequent urination such as diabetes mellitus, a bladder infection or kidney infection. Either way he should be checked by a Dr.
If he is urinating a lot, like every couple of hours and getting up more than once in the night at his age, then he may have a couple of problems. 1--weak bladder or overactive bladder, see a urologist. 2--could also be a sign of diabetes or predisposed to diabetes. Either way, if he is going more than 10 times a day, including during sleep time, he probably needs to see his Dr.
Easy solution!!!
When he is peeing have him try to stop in midstream several times for about 4-5 months each time he urinates it will build up his pubic muscles and that should help a lot!!

My boyfriend had surgery for priaprism, will i ever be able to have children now?

Answer:
Yes, all the surgeon has done has cut the superficial layers of the penis to allow it to be straight. He has not done a vasectomy so your boyfriend can still father children.
Maybe...it could just be a technicality. Ask your local physician.
Sure.
Your boyfriend had a corrective procedure to his penis, not a vasectomy. His status has no bearing on your ability to have children.
This will not affect your ability to have children. It might affect his ability to father children, but it won't affect your ability.
As far as I know priapism is the condition of having a permanent erection and I do not understand the surgery involved to correct it. I doubt that your boyfriend will not ever be able to ejaculate again. The other answers seem to refer to a condition known as Peyronies where the penis is bent in some way.
of course u will..the internal vessels in the penis that deliver sperm in to the vagina have not been cut for this surgery..it should all work smoothly

My boyfriend doesn't sweat like he should?

My boyfriend has been getting dizzy and sick to his stomach lately because he doesn't sweat like he should. He does a lot of manual labor outside for the railroad all day long and the only sweat that produces is from his hard hat. Other than that he's completely dry (we live in Georgia so it's pretty warm down here during the day). He drinks like a fish so he stays hydrated (and that's not referring to alchohol, lol). Are there any causes that would make it to where he wouldn't sweat like he should? He has been to his doctor and when the results came back he was told to go to an endocrinologist.
Answer:
I would have to say just make an appointment with the endocrinologist becuase he may have something really wrong with him.
I would increase the amount of fluid he is taking in dramatically . Drink alot of 100 % juices have him drink pedia lite instead of Gatorade and tons and tons of water . Even if you can get him to drink the vitiam water that will help to . Also do what the doctor suggested .
He sounds dehydrated. Get him to a doctor b4 he has a heat stroke.
Make that appointment with an endocrinologist right away. Clearly there is a problem that needs evaluation.
